The biggest record fair in East London announces the dates for the next event
Since 2015, Hackney Record Fair has thrived, delivering vinyl record enthusiasts with the ideal place to source all their treasures. Announcing ‘Epic Dalston’ as the events quarterly home come September 25th, Mark Farhall, event organiser, talks about how lucky he is to have grown a business encompassing everything he feels so passionately about.
“The event is very popular and attracts large numbers of visitors,” Mark Farhall explains, “we have a mix of locals who follow all our events as well as bringing people from all over London.” Giving independent music labels the opportunity to to showcase their work and owners of rare and obscure vinyl to sell their finds, the Hackney Record Fair is the ideal place for all music lovers to indulge themselves.
Music fans aren’t the only people who benefit here. Local businesses and record traders from wherever the fair travels to get in on the action also. Regular include Black Wax Record Shack, The Shacklewell Arms, Eldica Records and Lion Coffee and Records to say a few.
If the Hackney Record Fair is currently too far out of your reach, don’t worry. Next year they plan to travel south of the river and set up shop. Wishing to combine a vintage clothes market with the record fair, Mark Farhall has the idea of calling the event Frock ‘n’ Roll.
Look out for the fair arriving soon and make sure to get there early to snap up the best bargains first.
